Northeast Arizona

Northeast Arizona is best known for the cities of Holbrook and Winslow which offer wide open western spaces. The towns of Snowflake and Show Low tend to have more wooded areas and wonderful scenery. There are large sections of land available throughout this area of Arizona as well as smaller parcels and lots.

The City of Winslow is the home of the Standin' on the Corner Park. Located 50 miles east of Flagstaff on I 40 there is a steady stream of tourist traffic and cross country truckers. Winslow has the added benefit of Historic Route 66 running through the center of town. The area is a favorite travel destination because of its spectacular views of the Painted Desert and the San Francisco Peaks and it is bordered by the Navajo Nation and Hopi Reservation.

Holbrook is the gateway to northeast Arizona travel, fishing, camping, hiking trails, the Petrified Forest, the Painted Desert, National Parks and more! Much of the plateau country is Navajo and Hopi Reservation land. Three routes converge in Holbrook, Interstate 40, U.S. Highway 180 and State Highway 77. For your traveling adventures you might want to stay in the Wigwam Motel on old Route 66.

Historic Snowflake has tree-lined streets which captivate the hometown charm of historic homes and the inspiring location. The nearby White Mountains offer a conifer wilderness that climbs to 7000+ feet offer a natural beauty to please everyone with crisp, clean air and pristine wilderness. It is home to the world's largest stand of ponderosa pine.

Show Low, Arizona sets at 6,400 feet above sea level making it a great place to live, work and play. Show Low is the high country fun and adventure capital of the Arizona White Mountains and Mogollon Rim.

Snow skiing is available at Sunrise Park Resort and camping, boating and fishing are popular in and around the many lakes and streams in the area. There is plenty of water to play in at Rainbow Lake, Show Low Lake, White Mountain Lake, and Fools Hollow Lake Recreation Area.
